OPERATIONS

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

We know that Operations are broadly defined and mean a lot of different things to different people. We take a comprehensive approach to health and human services operations through a cadre of services and tools to design, implement and optimize the operations of payers and providers. Each of our practice management services is designed to support all things that need to be in place to make your back-end operations successful.

We have strategically aligned our business so that you see yourself in us. We are intentionally designed to support payer and provider operations to address the unique business units that support overall practice management. That’s why we offer expertise on the full spectrum of your operational needs, including licensing rules for facilities, medical equipment maintenance requirements, fire codes as they apply to provider organizations, how a facility’s floorplan and layout can drive clinical workflows and how to optimize those to improve outcomes. WE also understand how to integrate health information technology and real-time reporting onto the floor to give real-time alerts of emerging needs.

We look at your operations from the perspective of where you want them today and in the future, based on your services and the populations you serve. Our clinical approach to operations considers the unique cultural and population health needs of the patients you serve and operationalizes them through systems and processes that are responsive to their needs, ultimately increasing patient engagement and care and overall health.

Patients shouldn’t expect to be left on hold when calling their health care provider and their provider should be able to easily research and resolve issues when they arise. We often refer to the analogy between airlines and the healthcare industry. What if airlines didn’t have the automation needed to book or change your own flights? What if they didn’t have access to other airlines’ flights to your destination when they experience a delay? Operations in the healthcare industry are broken and fragmented, so people aren’t getting the care they need. We use a patient-centered design for operations, so you can better help patients reach their treatment goals and access the care they need by making sure you provide the right service at the right time and in the play and way they need them. We help you meet your patients where they are.

Our Process

We understand and can navigate medical supplies, including coordination with labs and co-located providers. We also know that Operations includes customer call centers for patient scheduling, care coordination, referrals, and prior authorizations. We know how assess your current operations to determine if you should design a new process or optimize the one you have.

Our Operations suite of services encompasses facilities and maintenance, IT hardware (POS systems and health information technology), vendor contracts and management (medical waste, labs, cleaning services, equipment inspections, refrigeration for vaccines, etc.), coordination with government subsidized initiatives (vaccines for children programs), food service for residential and inpatient settings, including inspections, navigating food allergies integration into your HER), contact centers, fleet management and dispatch (mobile teams and home and community based services), permits, customer service, security, facility inspections and audits (Regulatory Compliance), internal and external communications, business continuity strategy and planning.

What’s more, we know our providers are serving the most vulnerable populations, so our recommendations factor in those patients. We consider those that may not have smartphones, consistent transportation, or readily accessible childcare. We know it isn’t realistic for them to jump at the first appointment available or to visit several locations in a day. Seeing your doctor, going to a lab and picking up prescriptions seem like a simple workflow, unless you’re a single mother with three children and no car. We help you address these challenges, head-on, and make what is a complex process, simple for your and your team. It’s what we call “simplexity.”
